The pediatric emergency medicine fellowship will
provide the trainee with the knowledge, technical skills, and clinical judgment
needed to provide optimal care for children in an emergency department. This is
accomplished through a combination of clinical rotations, formal teaching
conferences and the development of critical thinking and research skills. The
fellowship is designed to prepare the pediatrician or emergency medicine
physician for a career in either an academic setting or a more clinically
oriented environment in pediatric emergency medicine.
The fellowship curriculum is divided into five sections: A. Clinical
practice, B. Teaching and consulting, C. Administrative training, D.
Training researchers, and E. Career development.
